Hakutsuru

Junmai Daiginjo

A nice sake.  Fruity with a light taste.  Not the best Junmai daiginjo I've had but pretty darn good.  Served chilled.  Brewed by Hakutsuru brewing Co. in Kobe Japan.

Kinugasumi

Awful.  Almost spit it up.  Poured the bottle down the drain.  I'm going to try again if I run into it, maybe it was spoiled.  Brewed by Konishi Brewing Co. In Hyogo Japan. http://www.konishi.co.jp/html/e/index.html

Unknown Sake 4

???

Don't even remember drinking this one. Anyone know the brewery?

Super Cup

?

Cup of sake bought in Japan. Strong alcohol taste with a melon aftertaste. Alcohol mellows out when temperature warms.

O

Ginjo

Very watery, very dry. After initial taste very strong alcohol. Cup of sake bought in japan. I think the "O" is actually a grain of rice so if anyone can tell me the brewery they would be great.

Unknown Sake 3

Junmai?

Not sure, I think a junmai with a strong alcohol taste. A bit dry with a alcohol aftertaste. Clear. Not bad but not a huge fan of dry. Hint of melon. Cup of sake bought in japan. If anyone can read the bottle please let me know the brewery.

Hanshin Tigers Sake

Junmai

Melon taste. Very smooth with a nice even alcohol taste. Surprised of quality considering when I bought it in Japan I thought it was more of a novelty.

Unknown Sake 2

Junmai ginjo

Sweet melon smell. Smooth with little alcohol taste. One of the best, 5 stars. Purchased in Kyoto. If anyone can read the brewery name please post in comments.

Tamanohikari

Junmai ginjo

Tamanohikari Sake Brewing Corp in Kyoto. Pours a light gold color. Smooth, sweet, and very delicious. Website is sake.com. This is one of the best! Sweet melon. Barley taste alcohol. So sad I don't have anymore.

Japanese Scotch

Single Malt

From Suntory.  Not great.  I made the whisky face after every sip.  Doesn't compare to a nice UK $30-50 bottle.  Sorry!

Shoutoku Syuzo

Junmai ginjo

From Shoutoku brewery Co. in Kyoto, Japan. Pours lite yellow. Strong alcohol but mellows out. Hint of melon. Very very dry. Not bad but wouldn't buy again

Unknown Junmai Daiginjo

Junmai Daiginjo

Pours mostly clear just a hint of yellow. Very sweet melon. Strong alchohol for first few sips but mellows out. Tasty but my hair wasn't blown back. Purchased in Kyoto Japan. If someone can read the bottle and give me the name of the brewery that would rule!

Kikusakari Taruskake

From Kiuchi brewery in Ibaraki, Japan. It was matured in Akita cedar barrels. Was drunk chilled. Looks like a white wine. First had a clean taste but quickly developed into a mild oak taste. It gently burns the back of the tongue and throat. Was given as a gift but pretty sure it was purchased in NYC.
